Great start to the holiday season and with the countdown to p.o.p getting shorter, it doesn't get any better. All I need now is the running man badge on my number four and under six minutes for s.o.c and my ego pride will get a nice boost.
I still can't believe it's been 4 months. So much has happened, yet... wow. I really don't know what to expect for the next two years, but I'm really hoping for something good for the next twenty four months.
BMT has been like nothing else I've done and I'll likely never forget it. I don't know if I'll actually miss the place but I'll definitely be thinking about the penthouse suite for awhile.
Hardcore fifth floor platoon four.
Damn.... Tossing my jockey cap in the air is probably gonna get emotional.
BUT IT'S TWO MORE WEEKS TO P.O.P AND I AM SO HAPPY AH!

The heaviest load in BMT just passed and I must say, with that comes a lot of reflection and still, a significant amount of stress looking at it's aftermath.
Field camp ain't no walk in the park but the fact that I actually found certain sizable amounts of fun in it makes it seem magical. Not that I'd want to do it again, but hey, surviving it made me happy.
It's four more weeks to p.o.p, together with some of my friends, and the strange feeling in my tummy never rumbled so hard before.
Time to brace myself and hang in there.

After about 6 weeks at Tekong slimming centre, I am still unable to get used to military life. I'm definitely enjoying the benefits like losing weight, slimming down, getting fit but.... there's still an empty feeling. Especially when booking in. It's not that I dread booking in, I tell myself since I have to, I might as well make the most out of my time in there, it's leaving the comfort of my home and everything that I enjoy doing in sunny Singapore. Hell, if it were an 8 to 5 thing, I'd gladly do it cos I know I'll be coming home to my parents, girlfriend and friends. But the psychological effects of realizing you only have about 2 days as a civilian every week is daunting. It doesn't help that every time I accomplish something, a new challenge pops up, be it a new physical test or someone losing more weight than me. Perhaps it'll get better. And at least I get to pass out with a couple of friends in the same boat as me, in the ptp batch and the enhanced batch.
Of course marching and singing army songs is always fun. That, I can wrap my mind around.
Edit: Great, something fucked my ps3 and now my save files are all gone. Second time this has happened. Playing games all over again is gonna be a fucking chore.

Well, it's three more weeks till enlistment. I don't think I'm the kind who needs to 'make most of this time' but I do need to enjoy the weekdays. Perhaps a trip to a park to write a song. Yea, I'll probably wanna record a cover or something to sort of 'give back' while I'm away. Hopefully to cheer people up while I'm in Tekong so that I'll be able to stay positive through the energy that's generated from the happy people listening.
Lol that would actually be amazing.

So a friend posted a clearer vid of a leaked captain-america-post-credits-scene-leadi ng-to-a-teaser-trailer-for-the-avengers on facebook. Of course when the video ended I was like SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY MARVEL.
But a comment from his friend followed which read, and I quote, "captain america happened in WWII and others all happen in the 2000s. how do they link up? lol". Now I don't know if he was trolling, or just plain ignorant. Sure he probably ain't a comic book geek. But neither am I. And neither are a lot of people I know, who also know 'how they link up'. what the actual fuck. I was in so much confusion and frustration that I was just tempted to tell him that Steve Rodgers' shield was not only indestructible, but had time-travelling capabilities and he used it to meet the avengers whom he fell in love with so much that he begged thor to grant him the immortality of the gods so as to go back to the past, live his life with his friends and loved ones till they died, and then come back to the present and become the leader of the avengers. THAT'S HOW IT FUCKING LINKS UP AND IT'S TRUE COS I'M THE GODDAMN BATMAN AND I FUCKING SAID SO.

Sorry, I'm just intrigued that he actually asked, whereas most people will probably just WATCH THE FILM TO FIND OUT, (or you know, wiki it or read up on it somewhere, like me and the rest of the world sometimes). Because maybe then, you'll get to see the scene where superman enters the atmosphere from space with batman surfing on his back landing on captain america and crushing him leading to an all out marvel vs dc crossover film which would go on to the full film which would break every single box office records TWICE over, bringing the end of filmmaking because no one else would bother to top that and the end of the world from the continuous mind blowing when the dvd is out.
On another note, been awhile since I checked out local television, in this case channel 5, and lo and behold, 'Catch of the day' which is yet another comedic reality show on everyday life but the catch here, no pun intended, is that it's focused on good samaritans in Singapore. Cool idea actually. Of course having Jade Seah asking people for help defeats the purpose but I'm glad there's something showing the good side of Singapore. Shit, put a hidden cam on me and you'll get a couple of seasons of 'People trying to fuck Joe's day up'. And this new show should be called "I was a good samaritan today and all I got was this damn flower" lmao I kid. But.... yea you know. Good attempt by local television standards. Let's get a couple of good dramas next aite? And no, not another love triangle/sad-till-cry-buckets/low key action shows. I'm talking a proper show. kthxbai.
